A temperate deciduous forest is a BIOME with hot and cold weather depending on the season. For example, a cold winter and a hot summer. The trees' leaves fall during autumn and also change colors, into red, orange, yellow, and many others. The animals that live in these regions are snakes, foxes, birds, bears, squirrels, mice, deer, insects, etc. When the leaves start to fall some animals migrate, and some prepare to hibernate for the winter. In the picture above, animals are eating the last of the remaining food, enjoying the sun, and preparing to migrate/hibernate. Although fall only began in the picture, leaves are already falling and changing color, and the animals are already heading south when it's still dawn. Food is less abundant and the weather becomes colder, so most animals go to the south for the sun and food. This biome poster was drawn by Haley Xia, Wilson Huang, and Michelle Tan.
