The biome I was assigned was desert. The desert has many animal and plants you wont see regularly in other biomes. For example the most common plant in the desert is the cactus and even though it's common in the desert it isn't common anywhere else. There aren't many animals that are in the desert due to the hot temperature and low amount of water. In order to be able to survive the deserts the animals there need to know how to adapt to the hot heat and save their water. Some animals there are scavengers like the vulture. There's also spiders, meerkats, special kinds of bunnies, bushes, cacti, etc. The average rainfall each year is less than 11 inches! Even if it rains the water that remains quickly evaporates due to the dry sand and the intense heat. Most land in the desert is covered by sand. The soil there turns into sand.
This is my science fair project. My science fair project is about oobleck and if oobleck is a solid or a liquid and below is my four Cs paper. The first C is Critical thinking, Then the next C is communication, after that the next C is collaboration, and the last C is creativity. On the top is my tri-fold. My tri-fold has my conclusion, data, research papers, and procedure, and materials. Also I worked with my partner Wesley to complete this project.
This is my own electricity circuit made from a simple tiny battery and a circular path of copper. With the help of my teacher we fixed a tiny problem which prevented it to shine bright like a diamond. I also drew little snowmen around a Christmas tree as a Christmas kind of decoration.
I'm thankful for the food I have, a shelter to stay and a safe year. I and thankful for the food I have because some people don't have food. I'm also thankful for a shelter to stay because I have a place to live in and be in a comfortable place to sleep. Last but not least I am thankful for a safe year because I am happy to be alive and be safe while having fun this year!
So this is my biotic factor project. First of all, a biotic factor is a living or once living thing. So my project is about biotic factors in groups and from the least to the most. The first one is an organism, an organism is a simple 1 biotic factor. Then there's the population, which is like an organism but together in an area. For example like wolves they hunt in packs and those packs are their population. After that there's community which is basically a population of living things around u. For example we can have a population of humans and the populations of wolves or other animals so in general just all living organisms. Then there's the ecosystem which is larger because it's all living organisms and it's also plus the abiotic factors too. If you don't know what a abiotic factor is then an abiotic factor is a nonliving and was never once alive and helps biotic factors live so basically things like water, sun, etc. Last but not least we have the biosphere (the biggest of them all) which is made out of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and the surface of Earth that's occupied by organisms.
This is the biosphere, the largest amount of organisms. Biosphere is all the organisms on Earth. So, the lower amounts are ecosystem then community then population and finally organism.
